Rebuild Lebanon

This is the official site of the Office of the Prime Minister on recovery efforts.

BACKGROUND

During the thirty three days of war, Lebanon lost 1,191 people killed, and had 4,405 of its citizens wounded. Closed to a million people were displaced, 200,000 of which remain refugees. The country suffered massive losses in its economy and infrastructure. A massive recovery effort is currently underway.

This website contains news on recovery and associated events, details on received donations and its earmarking, tendering and contract awards, links to all stakeholders, and a medium to get involved.

THE WEB TEAM

It is being designed and its content managed by a team from the Office of the Prime Minister, the Bassil Fuleihan Institute of Finance, and InfoPro Center for Economic Information.
